Helen Patterson has worked in HR for over 10 years, working at a senior level in companies including Gregg's PLC, Debenham's and the global American corporation; Diebold. Helen has specialised in a number of areas including employee relations and recruitment and development but has mainly worked as a generalist. Helen now offers an individual HR service to small to medium sized businesses who require support with all aspects of HR whether this be telephone advice or larger projects such as producing an employee handbook.

Helen offers a service available at two levels, each with a fixed fee, and designed for developing business which cannot afford (and probably do not yet need) full-time HR management, but which need to know that HR matters are being handled professionally.
The service is designed to ensure companies maintain their legal compliance status and/or further develop their people polices in support of business objectives.
Level - 1
Telephone/Email advice on all employment related matters
Plus 1-day visit to carry out annual audit
Additional hours available as required
For Example:
Prepare and establish Employee Handbook
Preparation of contracts of employment for new starts
Preparation of specific procedures i.e. disciplinary/grievance
Attendance at interviews, disciplinary/grievance hearings
Updating polices and practices in line with new legislation and codes of practice
Or
Level - 2
Telephone/Email support as above plus specific direct support
(minimum 1 day/month) based on an agreed programme of
activity (leading to an intimate knowledge of the clients
business)
For Example:
Preparation of job descriptions/organisation charts
Job analysis/evaluation programmes
Recruitment exercises
Training needs analysis/design and provision
